A brief resume CV is posted at the bottom of this page. I am currently a dedicated, enthusiastic, outgoing and odd MA student seeking gainful employment in any one of the following fields:
- Journalism — print or broadcast — working as Head of Speech @ xpressradio.co.uk
- Writing — unpublished author with plenty of ideas (this sounds worryingly like a smalls ad), seeking agent/publisher for a variety of length works from haikus to novels. Science fiction and teen drama are probably the two handiest pigeon holes.
- Academic work — BScEcon in Politics and Modern History, with specialism in political thought and early modern history. Studying MA History specialising in early modern history.
- Political campaigning/interning — Campaigns and Membership officer for Cardiff Labour Students. Passionate about politics and making a real difference. Experience of student politics on Student Council.
Other things I will do for money:
- Retail — some experience of management duties on a Bourne Leisure holiday park
- Anything computer related — proficient in a variety of basic software and hardware packages. Keen to learn more. Work part-time for a Cardiff-based web-hosting company in the rather glamorous world of data entry.
Other goals:
- To go jogging more
- To improve my cooking skills
- To revive a flagging interest in live performance
- To not be such a bad person
- To not write so many lists
- To travel
- To drink less
- To improve technical skills in all areas, from basic cutlery up to nuclear physics
- To understand “science”
- To organise my life (see above)
